First Federation Trust
Members
Members play a limited but crucial role in academy trust governance.
Members’ powers are set out in the trust’s articles of association and in company law. They need to assure themselves that the governance of the trust is effective and that directors (also known as trustees) are acting in accordance with the trust’s charitable objects.
Foundation Members appoint Foundation directors. Members are also responsible for other key activities such as amending the trust’s articles of association, changing the name of the trust or winding it up, and appointing and removing the trust's external auditors.
The First Federation Trust has five Members:

Register of business and pecuniary interests
Members and their representatives are asked to declare any relevant business and pecuniary interests when they are appointed and are invited to declare any relevant interest at the start of each meeting so any conflict of interest can be managed appropriately.
