Parent council members represent the voice of a parent not the voice of the parents. Their primary expertise is as a parent.
At least one parent council member is elected for each Trust school. One parent council member from each school is a member of the governance Hub Advisory Board for the school.
Parent council members are linked to two schools: the one attended by their children and one other school within the same hub. They undertake monitoring visits to both schools and report the outcome of their Hub Advisory Board. The focus of the visits is set by the board of directors.
