First Federation Trust
School Membership
The Trust currently has six Hub Boards:
- Central Hub (chair to be appointed): Chudleigh Knighton CE Primary School, Lady Seaward's CE Primary School, Rockbeare CE Primary School, Westcliff Primary Academy and Willowbank Primary School.
- Dorset Hub (chaired by Mrs Ann Denner): Chickerell Primary Academy, Loders CE Primary Academy, Marshwood CE Primary Academy, Portesham CE Primary School and Thorncombe St Mary's CE Primary Academy. This is a new hub for the Trust, established in September 2024.
- East Hub (chaired by Dr Carolyn Bromfield): Axminster Community Primary Academy, Brixington Primary Academy, Membury Community Primary Academy, Musbury Primary School, and St Andrew's CE Primary Academy.
- East Devon / West Dorset Hub (chaired by Mr Dom Makemson): Charmouth Primary School, Colyton Primary Academy, Hawkchurch CE Primary School, Mrs Ethelston's CE Primary Academy and Sidmouth CE Primary School. This Hub was established in September 2023.
- South Hub (chaired by Mr John Parker): Aveton Gifford CE Primary School, Blackpool CE Primary School, Gatehouse Primary Academy, Newton Ferrers CE Primary School and Salcombe CE Primary School.
- West Hub (chaired by Mrs Kate Brimacombe): Bere Alston Primary Academy, Mary Dean's CE Primary school, St Budeaux CE Primary Academy and Whitchurch Primary School.
Board composition
The membership of the Hub Boards is as follows:
- a member of the Trust school improvement team,
- a chair who is a appointed by the board,
- a foundation director or church representative,
- parent council members in post for the schools within the Hub,
- co-opted members appointed based on their skills
Each hub board has a hub clerk.

From September 2024, a sixth Hub has been established and there has been some movement of schools within the Hubs.
