The First Federation Trust is delighted to announce its growth from 21 primary schools to 29, being joined by seven schools from Acorn Multi Academy Trust in East Devon and West Dorset, and Chickerell Primary School in Dorset this September.    

Starting life as a small group of South Devon schools in 2006, First Federation has grown to a larger multi-academy with primaries spanning across Plymouth, Devon and West Dorset, with a mix of schools ranging from two-class village establishments to those from larger coastal towns, including both church and community schools.     

Paul Walker, Chief Executive Officer, said, ‘We are very pleased to welcome these eight primaries into our family of schools and look forward to working closely with each local community. We will work hard, alongside the Head and staff of each school, to contribute to their growth and development and to help each school provide the best possible education for all its young people. 

Paul continues, ‘All schools will benefit from collaboration and shared expertise with comprehensive support from our talented leaders in education, safeguarding, inclusivity and more, while retaining their unique identity and values. Together we aim to be a stronger and more impactful organisation that will enhance the educational experience for thousands of pupils.’
